Diwali

Diwali marks the Hindu celebration of light. In Hinduism light symbolizes good fortune which is why, during the festival it is commonplace to light lamps. Also, the festival celebrates the traditional art of Rangoli, which is believed to have originated in the state of Maharashtra. Rangoli is a vibrant style created from various colors of materials and placed on the floor. The belief is that it will bring luck and shield homes from evil spirits.

New Year's Day

New Year's Day is one major days in the year . The celebrations are everywhere in the world. Certain cities host large parades that draw the attention of people across the nation. You can celebrate together with family or your friends, there is an New Year's Day celebration that is certain to satisfy your tastes.

Columbus Day

Columbus Day is celebrated across the Americas on the 12th of October, the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World. It is observed as it is a national holiday across many of the nations of the Americas and also as a federal holiday in the United States.

Martin Luther King Jr. day

Every year on the third Monday of Jan, Americans enjoy Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as a national holiday, in memory of the civil rights activist and activist. In 1929, King made a name for himself as an important proponent of equality between races and nonviolent civil protest. He also campaigned against legal segregation and was the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. On this day, the public are encouraged to consider his legacy and the values he stood for, including peaceful coexistence and equality between races.

Thanksgiving

It was the first Thanksgiving celebration observed by the natives and colonists New England in the early eighteenth century. It was an opportunity for prayer and gratitude for the blessings of our nation. In 1777 in 1777 the U.S. Continental Congress proclaimed the holiday as a national holiday but left the actual decision to declare the holiday to the states following that. This meant that Southerners were reluctant to accept this custom and some even objected to the fact that the day was being used to host partisan rallies and parades.

Christmas

The Christmas holiday is a time to celebrate Jesus' birth Christ. The celebrations of Christmas include the giving of gifts to family and friends. The tradition of gifting gifts began in the fifteenth century. In addition, gifts are an expression of gratitude for the donation of Jesus to mankind. A poem written by Clement Moore in 1822, "Twas the Night Before Christmas," has a strong religious significance. St. Nicholas is also associated with the Christmas season. Saint Nicholas was the bishop from the first Christian churches in Asia Minor, who left presents for children and silver in stockings.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is the national holiday in the United States and Canada. It is also observed across Saint Lucia, Grenada and Liberia. It is a day to be a time to offer thanks for the previous year and harvest. Similar celebrations of the festival are held by people in Japan and Germany.
